I was losing it for the already mentioned reasons. The one cool thing that happened after getting out of my hammock is that Meghan and I saw a few river dolphins. They weren’t the pink ones, only grey ones. They were surfacing so we could see their fins and then they’d go down again. I imagine they must be pretty blind, considering the opaque-ness of the water.

Breakfast time came, which we knew since everyone had a bowl or cup of what looked like dirty, watered-down milk and a handful of bread rolls that I anticipated were sweet but were not. They were very dry too. Not the introduction to the gourmet cuisine upgrade we paid for. We skipped on the whitish liquid and got our ration of the rolls. One woman sitting (swinging?) near us was dipping hers in the liquid and explained that it was milk and had all the vitamins we need to prevent constipation.

When Meghan relayed this to me in English, we agreed that constipation would be a glorious solution to the problem of hygene in the bathroom!

Also, had we wanted some liquid stuff, or anything requiring a plate or bowl, we would have been out of luck had we not brought our camping pot and silverware. Of all the people we asked about the boat ride, none mentioned anything about needing your own bowl/fork/spoon/soap/nada. I checked and it wasn’t printed in our LP book either. This would explain why some street hawkers were on the boat before our departure selling tupperware containers. At the time, I thought, “I don’t need that. I can’t imagine wanting to keep my leftovers.”
