that's waaay cool that you could experience Tet so close to home.  The vietnamese tend to keep away from the tourists (it's a shame, the language barrier), but when you do manage to transcend the barrier, they are amazingly friendly and generous.

Thanks for this entry...I was curious to know more about the vietnamese new year.  See, our church took in the VCC (or Vietnamese Catholic Community) about 7 months ago.  Last weekend, when we arrived at church, they had decorated it for the new year -- just gorgeous!!  It is nice having them join our church...they always have a smile for you and they bring delicious food to community events :-)
Thanks again for bringing us along on your trip with all the entries!  Oh, and thanks for the disney paint swatches...they are giving me some great ideas :-)
